About us and these terms

This website is operated by Job's of Oxted, the trading name of M. B. Job Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under number 01311157, whose registered office is at 46–50 Station Road West, Oxted, Surrey RH8 9EU. By using the site you accept these terms.

Using this website

The site is here to tell you what we sell and how to reach us. We take care to keep it accurate and current, but it is a guide rather than a catalogue: ranges change, suppliers revise their collections, and what's on the shop floor moves week to week.

Photographs are illustrative. Fabric, wood and carpet colours in particular vary between screens, and between a screen and the real thing under showroom light. Always judge a colour from a sample rather than a photograph. We'll happily lend you one to take home.

Prices and availability

Prices are those displayed in the showroom at the time you order. Where a price appears on this site it is a guide and may change without notice, and it does not amount to an offer to sell at that price.

Clearance items are single pieces, sold as seen, and subject to remaining unsold. An item shown on the Clearance page may already have gone by the time you arrive. It's always worth a call first if you're travelling for something specific.

Quotations

Carpet and flooring quotations are free, carry no obligation, and are based on the measurements taken at the time. If the area, the specification or the supplier's price changes, the quotation changes with it.

A quotation is valid for 30 days from the date we give it to you.

Orders

Orders are placed in the showroom or over the phone, not through this website. A contract is formed when we accept your order, not when you enquire.

Deposits, payment methods and when the balance falls due are agreed with you at the time you order, and set out on your order paperwork.

Delivery, assembly and taking the old one away

Free delivery and in-home assembly apply within our local area. Outside it, we'll quote you a delivery charge before you commit, or you're welcome to collect from the shop.

We'll take your old furniture away when we deliver the new piece, by prior arrangement and for a small charge. Please ask when you order rather than on the day, so our delivery team arrive with room on the van, and we can tell you the cost before you commit.

Delivery dates are our best estimate and depend on the supplier. We'll keep you informed if a date changes.

Your rights if something is wrong

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose, and if they aren't you're entitled to a repair, replacement or refund depending on the circumstances. Tell us and we'll put it right.

Because purchases are made in person in the showroom rather than at a distance, the 14-day cancellation right that applies to online and telephone sales does not generally apply. Goods made to order, cut to size or made to your specification cannot be cancelled or returned once cut, unless they are faulty. Carpet cut from a roll is the everyday example.

Our content

The text, photographs and design of this site belong to us or to our suppliers, and may not be copied or reused without permission. Supplier names and logos belong to their respective owners and appear here to show what we stock.

Liability

We don't limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not permit us to limit. Beyond that, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses. This site and our shop serve consumers.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute falls to the courts of England and Wales.
